| Hey,
I am Rev. Bill Hughes. I am originally from the Chicago area, but I
came to Kentucky in 1977. I met my wife in college; we now have four
kids and live in Lexington. In 1985 I was ordained as a Methodist
pastor. I have been here at UK for 12 years, and I look forward to the
years I have ahead of me here at the UKWF. The Wesley Foundation is a
very unique ministry that I am glad to be a part of. The Foundation is a
great ministry and also a great living environment for students. We
have a very unique chance to interact with one another on a daily basis
and speak into each others' lives as well as walk together in Christ on a
very close basis. I am looking forward to this next year and seeing
what God is going to do.
Hello, my name is Julie.
I am excited to be the Women’s Campus Minister at the University of Kentucky. Before coming to UK
I spent 2 years working for the Florida International University Wesley
Foundation in Miami
where I was the leader in an intentional Christian community house for young
adults. Originally, I am from Columbia, KY.
I grew up there on my family’s farm.. I attended Lindsey
Wilson College
where I earned my BA in Communications and Christian Ministries
as well as a MA in Christian Leadership.
During my college years I became passionate about campus ministry. My
desire is to experience the real presence of God everyday and show others the
way to Jesus. Other than doing ministry stuff, I enjoy staying active and being
outdoors. I cycle, swim, and run to name a few things. Hanging out with friends
and enjoying good cups of coffee are also at the top of my list.
